About the event

What to Expect

Ride the Net is an intermediate progression ride designed to take the skills and fundamentals riders have developed and put them into practice on the trail.

Riders should already be comfortable riding variable terrain, including rocks and roots, and have previous experience with basic bike-handling skills.

We’ll make our way through Subnet and its features, stopping along the trail to break down different sections, learn how to approach features, and build confidence through practical instruction and repetition.

Riders must be AMBA members to participate, for insurance purposes.

Riders will learn to:

  • Apply fundamental mountain biking skills in a real trail environment

  • Read and approach different trail features with confidence

  • Build confidence and control on technical terrain

  • Understand body position, braking, line choice, and momentum

  • Progress through features at a pace that supports learning and confidence

The goal is to help riders better understand the trail, feel comfortable navigating its features, and build the skills and confidence to ride Subnet independently.
